Disclaimer: The following are my personal views, and do not necessarily represent the opinions of Su Casa, or any of it's officers.
As a real and second life practicing nudist, I have been ask a number of times which I prefer a public nudity legal beach, or nudist resort. While there are pros and cons to each, my personal preference is a nudist resort over a public nudity legal beach.
The pros to a nudity legal public beach is the fact are they are public, most are located on national, state, or county lands, for those that do not want to make a large investment money wise this is ideal. From what I know most are free, or have a nominal fee to enter. I understand by talking to different people most are also patrolled by law enforcement officials to keep a safe environment for uses.
The cons are by their very name they are public, and public is the key word. The fact that they are on public land takes away the ability to say who comes and who goes. I have in the past visited Mazo Beach in Wisconsin, while on vacation, and it is well known that voyeurs will stroll through peeking at the bare butts on the beach, they pay taxes and it's public land. There also has been, especially with the popularity now of smart phones, incidents of unwanted voyeur type photos, and videos being taken.
The pros to a resort setting are, they are either privately, or coop owned, and have the right to pick and choose who is, and who isn't admitted to the grounds. Resorts are a much more social setting, as it is usually the same people week in and week out that visit, and most offer events, and amenities such as pot luck dinners, playgrounds for the children, some even offer year around residency etc. The one big rule always is NO CAMERAS on the grounds. My home resort, if you must use a smart phone, will provide you with a non-smear adhesive strip to place over the camera lens, especially for first time visitors.
The cons are resorts tend to be pricy, with season long memberships in the hundreds of dollars, and non- member day ground fees of over $30 per couple or single. Many resorts require a AANR, or Naturist Society membership to go along with it's own fees.
For the peace of mind a resort brings, that is my preference. By going that route I know, anyone on the grounds has been, at least somewhat, checked out before being admitted. Also, that myself, or any of my family will not end up in the nude on a voyeur website.
See the video capture below taken without permission, or knowledge and posted on Dailymotion as “Nude Beach Voyeur” , it's all over the net. You know the rule on the Internet once it's up there it isn't going away.
